MXD Solutions fills permanent trades and construction roles. It works with owners of trades and construction businesses of roughly 5 to 50 staff, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, carpentry, builders and civil subcontractors. MXD does permanent placement only, not labour hire or temp staffing.

## The deal

You tell MXD who you need. You get your first candidates in 5 days. You pay one flat fee, and only if you hire.

## How it works

1. **Brief us.** Trade, suburb, pay and start date.
2. **We screen.** Licence, phone screen and two references.
3. **First candidates.** In 5 days, building to a shortlist of 3 to 5.
4. **You hire.** The fee is due when they start.

## Screening

Every candidate clears these checks:

- **Licence on the register.** Checked on the state register for every licensed trade. No valid licence, no submission.
- **Phone screen with a person.** Why they would move, what pay would move them and when they can start.
- **Two supervisor references.** Done before the client interviews anyone.
- **Right to work.** Checked before any offer goes out.

## Flat fees (ex GST)

- **Entry, $4,500:** trade assistants, construction labourers, 3rd and 4th year apprentices.
- **Qualified, $9,900:** electricians, plumbers, carpenters, HVAC techs, roofers, civil plant operators.
- **Senior, $14,500:** leading hands, foremen, site supervisors.

## Terms

- **No hire, no fee.** Nothing upfront and no ad costs.
- **Payment.** The fee is due when the hire starts, payable within 14 days. Smaller businesses can split it: half on start, half at day 30.
- **Candidates.** MXD aims to send the first screened, licence-checked candidates within 5 business days, building to a shortlist of 3 to 5. If no shortlist is sent within 1 month of confirming the brief, the client can end the brief with no obligation.
- **3-month free replacement.** Applies if the hire quits or is let go for performance. Applies once per placement. Conditions: the fee was paid on time, and the role has not been made redundant. If no replacement is found within 6 weeks, the client receives a credit for the fee, valid for 12 months.
- **12-month ownership.** The fee applies if the client hires anyone MXD introduced within 12 months, in any role.
- **Repeat clients.** 10% off every hire after the second in a 12-month period.

## Why flat fees

The market range for trades placement is 15 to 20% of salary, and many agencies charge on the full package. On a $95,000 salary that is $14,250 to $19,000, against the $9,900 Qualified flat fee.

## Frequently asked questions

**How much does it cost?** $4,500 for entry roles, $9,900 for qualified trades and $14,500 for senior roles, all ex GST. There is nothing to pay unless you hire.

**What if MXD can't find anyone in 5 days?** The aim is first candidates within 5 business days. If no shortlist is sent within 1 month of confirming the brief, you can walk away with no obligation.

**Should I pull my SEEK ad?** No, keep it running. MXD goes after the people who are not looking at ads, and you only pay if MXD's candidate is better.

**Does MXD do labour hire or temps?** No. MXD only does permanent placement. The people placed work for you, on your books.

**Where does MXD work?** MXD fills roles across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
